Medical Information
Lentil is currently healthy and doing well. He is up to date on his vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. When rescued, Lentil was underweight and was treated for gastroenteritis, which has since resolved. He currently has mild tartar buildup.
Getting to Know Prince Lentil
If there is one thing to know about Lentil, it’s that he loves food.
After experiencing hunger as a stray, he is still very focused on mealtimes. He will happily finish other cats’ food if given the opportunity and may try to sneak human food, so meals and food left around the house will need a little supervision. He sometimes eats too quickly and may vomit afterward, so a slow feeder and portioned meals may be helpful.
Outside of food, Lentil is a fairly easygoing boy. He gets along well with other cats and is comfortable in a multi-cat environment. He is very cooperative during baths and generally handles routine care well.
He isn’t especially interested in toys—even wand toys usually don’t impress him much. Lentil also occasionally has a sassy side, especially during things he would rather not do, such as nail trims. He’ll let you know when he’s had enough.
Overall, Lentil is an easygoing, cat-friendly boy with a few endearing quirks and a very serious love of food. His foster family has gotten to know these little parts of his personality well, and we want his future family to know and appreciate them too.
Prince Lentil's Rescue Story

Prince Lentil was found in a park on the outskirts of the city, where there was almost no food and little chance for a cat like him to survive.
When he was discovered, park staff had caught his head in a long-handled catch pole and lifted him into the air. They were preparing to remove him when a good Samaritan intervened and got him to safety.
Prince Lentil was extremely thin, filthy, and badly neglected. His coat was so dirty and matted that much of it had to be shaved. Beneath all that fur was a frail little cat who had clearly been struggling for a long time.
We do not know how he ended up in the park or how long he had been living there. Persian and Exotic Shorthair cats are not built to survive outdoors, especially in a place with no reliable source of food.
Prince Lentil is safe now and receiving the care he needs. After everything he has endured, he deserves a quiet, loving home where he will never have to fight to survive again.
